5 min  |
1 Serving

Ingredients

Cocktail

  • 1 bottle Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc
  • 1 lime
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • Ice

Garnish

  • 4 fresh mint leaves

Looking for a refreshing cocktail this summer? Try this recipe which replaces the rum with Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc which has lemon and other citrus notes that help add complexity to the fresh mint. To ensure all flavours are extracted from the fresh ingredients, it’s suggested that the mint leaves are bruised before adding so that the herb flavours release into the cocktail. The limes are also juiced first and the skins cut up and added to the bottom of the glass, on top of the mint leaves. The skins have oils which, when released into the beverage, add a slight twist in flavour which only professionally made cocktails often have. This cocktail requires a little more effort, but it’s worth it!

Ingredients

Cocktail

  • 1 bottle Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc
  • 1 lime
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • Ice

Garnish

  • 4 fresh mint leaves

Instructions

To Muddle

Step 1

Cut the limes in half, juice and add to a tall glass. Do not throw out the used lime. Instead, cut up a used lime half into slices and place aside for later use.

Step 2

Remove the stems from the mint leaves. Bruise the leaves by holding them in one hand and clap your hands together. Add to glass.

Step 3

Add the used sliced limes. (Tip: The lime peels have oils which will help make your mojito taste magnifique!)

Step 4

Gently muddle together with the handle of a wooden spoon to extract the flavours. Be careful not to muddle too much. Otherwise, the mint leaves will get torn into tiny pieces.

To Finish

Step 5

Add 1 oz simple syrup.

Step 6

Add ice almost to the top of the glass.

Step 7

Evenly pour the bottle of Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc to the top. Let it settle.

Step 8

Slightly churn all the ingredients together with a tall spoon and then top off with a handful of crushed ice.

To Serve

Step 9

Garnish with a few bruised mint leaves and lime wedges.

Step 10

Add a reusable straw.

Step 11

Enjoy.
